Ms. Mya Pyae Pyae Aung is a Senior Associate at the Corporate and Investment Team of TWL Law Group.

She has been with the firm since her time as a Trainee Lawyer and has developed extensive experience advising local and foreign clients on corporate, banking, investment, and regulatory matters in Myanmar and Thailand.

 

She has advised numerous Taiwanese financial institutions and corporations operating in Myanmar, including assisting several Taiwanese banks in securing branch licenses and regulatory approvals from the Central Bank of Myanmar. Her experience also includes supporting engagements involving leading Taiwanese industry players such as Foxconn, as well as collaborating with the Taiwan Trade Center on cross-border commercial compliance matters.

 

Ms. Mya Pyae Pyae Aung regularly advises Myanmar, Chinese, and other foreign companies on business establishment, foreign investment, MIC permits and endorsements, capital restructuring, share transfers, and regulatory compliance. Her practice also covers banking and financial services, employment and immigration matters, intellectual property, dispute-related legal notices, and due diligence. She has assisted foreign bank branches, garment factories, and other foreign-invested enterprises with senior management appointments, licensing matters, and ongoing regulatory obligations.

 

She graduated from the University of Yangon with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law from Thammasat University. She is currently a Ph.D. student at the National Taiwan University. She is admitted as a Higher Grade Pleader before the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar (since 2023).
