Ms. Myet Thwe is a Senior Associate at TWL Law Group, focusing on corporate and regulatory advisory and cross-border transactions across Southeast Asia, with a particular emphasis on Vietnam and Myanmar. She regularly advises international clients on market entry, regulatory compliance, and complex corporate transactions, delivering commercially driven and practical guidance tailored to emerging market environments.

Her broader practice encompasses Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and the banking sector, where she has represented prominent clients from Taiwan and across Southeast Asia. She frequently leads mandates involving company incorporation, investment licensing, capital restructuring, and share transfers, and advises foreign bank branches and representative offices on sophisticated regulatory compliance requirements, particularly in Myanmar.

​She has also developed a strong Vietnam practice, including experience seconded to a Vietnamese law firm, where she worked closely with local counsel on foreign investment, licensing, and transactional matters. She continues to actively advise on Vietnam-related transactions, including legal due diligence, market entry structuring, and regulatory analysis, and is a regular contributor to publications on Vietnam legal and investment developments.

 

Ms. Myet Thwe also has substantial experience in drafting and negotiating key commercial agreements, conducting legal due diligence for IPOs and M&A transactions, and advising on business closures, including winding-up and tax compliance. Her growing regional focus—particularly in Vietnam—enables her to provide integrated, commercially attuned support to foreign-invested enterprises navigating multi-jurisdictional operations in Southeast Asia.

 

She is qualified as a Higher Grade Pleader in Myanmar and holds an LL.M. (Commercial Law) and an LL.B. from the University of Yangon.
