Qualifications/Licenses
Ms. May Thet Hnynn is currently a Legal Analyst at TWL Law Group, bringing with her extensive experience in banking and finance law. She has been qualified as a Higher Grade Pleader by the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar since 2022, and is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative Law at the China University of Political Science and Law.
Prior to joining TWL, May accumulated over four years of legal experience at leading international law firms where she advised both regional and domestic banks on financing transactions, regulatory compliance, and legal documentation. Her work has included drafting and negotiating facility agreements, handling the satisfaction of conditions precedent, and managing the registration of securities.
Beyond banking and finance, May has participated in several cross-border M&A transactions, conducting legal due diligence and supporting senior lawyers on initial public offering (IPO) mandates in Myanmar.
She holds Master of Laws degrees from Liaoning University (China) and Yangon University of Distance Education (Myanmar), and a Bachelor of Laws from Dagon University. In addition to being fluent in Burmese and English, she has limited working knowledge of Mandarin.
