Ms. May Thet Hnynn is a Legal Analyst at TWL Law Group, where she focuses on banking and finance, regulatory advisory, and cross-border transactional matters. She is admitted as a Higher Grade Pleader before the Supreme Court of the Union of Myanmar (since 2022). Ms. May is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative Law at the China University of Political Science and Law.

Prior to joining TWL Law Group, Ms. May accumulated over four years of experience at leading international law firms, advising regional and domestic financial institutions on a broad range of financing transactions and regulatory matters. Her practice has encompassed the structuring and documentation of credit facilities, drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documents, overseeing the satisfaction of conditions precedent, and managing the registration and perfection of security interests.

In addition to her banking and finance experience, Ms. May has been involved in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, conducting comprehensive legal due diligence and supporting senior counsel on capital markets transactions, including initial public offering (IPO) mandates in Myanmar.

Ms. May holds two Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees, from Liaoning University (China) and Yangon University of Distance Education (Myanmar), and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Dagon University. She is fluent in Burmese and English, and has working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.
